The Environment Phenix awards are the most famous in the provice of Quebec. They were born from a partnership between the Ministère du Développement durable, de l'Environnement et des Parcs, the Ministery of Economic Development, Innovation and Export Trade and Recyc-Quebec, a crown corporation.

Since 1998, the Environment Phenix Awards honor people and organizations that take environment to heart and, by their actions and activities, that help protect natural resources and contribute to sustainable development in the province of Quebec.
